Meet the Teacher
Your Presenter - Judy Garfield

Judy Garfield is a 16 year veteran of Oncology Nursing. She spent 8 ½ years in Radiation Oncology at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

She received her nursing diploma from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, her BSN from Viterbo University, LaCrosse, WI and is presently completing a Master of Arts degree in Servant Leadership through Viterbo.

She has been a member of ONS for 15 years and OCN certified for 14. She was a charter member of the North Central Wisconsin Chapter of ONS and has served as secretary, president, and is presently serving as treasurer.

She remains actively involved in the radiation SIG group of ONS, serving as the Midwest regional representative and on the strategic planning committee for the SIG and is listed on the ONS website as a radiation nurse expert.

In addition, she has recently started her own business offering seminars, workshops and instructional sessions for nursing staff and managers, all with a Servant-Leadership focus.

Deana Gonyon

Deana Gonyon is a Nurse Practitoner involved in the care of Radiation and Medical Oncology patients. She is currently at The Center for Cancer Care at Goshen Health System in Goshen, Indiana.

Deana received her BSN from Indiana University and worked as an RN from Internal Medicine. She received her Master’s Degree in nursing from Indiana University / Purdue University in Indianapolis in 2003 and has been in her
present role since then.

Deana is a member of the ONS and is actively involved in The radiation special interest group.
